The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) was formally established in 1975 under the auspices of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act. The Commission has been entrusted with the mandate to regulate and control the operations of betting and gaming and the conduct of lottery activities throughout the Island.
Further, they seek to increase the level of compliance with the rules and regulations through their enforcement unit.
The BGLC performs multiple other functions as assigned, by or in pursuance of the provisions of the enabling legislation or any other enactment.
