Gtech has released a new mobile feature for Supreme Ventures Lottery (SVL) players in Jamaica to place and collect wagers using their land or cell phone lines; all without visiting an authorized lottery agent in person.
Players in Jamaica who play the national Lotto, Pick 3 or Cash Pot, now have wider freedoms in their personal transactions under Gtech's GO PLAY brand and their registered specific phone number.
Alan Eland, the Senior Vice President of Gtech Americas, says that "With the security and reliability of our ES Connect system, buying a lottery ticket in Jamaica is now as easy as making a phone call."
How does it work?
After calling a toll free number, lottery players can place bets, add money or check their balance in their account.
If a number combination is winning, they will be notified via SMS/text message and any winnings up to $3,488 will automatically be deposited into their account. Any amount over that limit must be claimed at a SVL Regional Retail or Prize Payment Center.
Since 2001, mobile phone use in Jamaica has increased and with GTech's new technology, Jamaican's who previously may have not bought a lottery ticket will now gain access like never before.
